Krijn Poppe (born 1955) has been a member of the Council for the Environment and Infrastructure since 2016. Until summer 2020, he was research manager and senior economist at Wageningen Economic Research (WUR). From 2009 to 2011, Mr Poppe served as chief science officer of the then Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. He holds paid ancillary positions as a board member of SKAL Biocontrole and he is a member of the Provincial Committee for the Living Environment Zuid-Holland. In addition, Mr Poppe is co-owner of an arable farm and gives occasional advice to various organisations. He holds an unpaid ancillary position as secretary-treasurer of the EAAEP Foundation, the publication committee of the European Association of Agricultural Economists EAAE.
