Rli published advisory report Investing in national growth

The National Growth Fund (Nationaal Groeifonds) was instituted to raise the Netherlands' future gross domestic product. The Council for the Environment and Infrastructure (Rli) concludes in its advisory report "Investing in sustainable growth" that this goal can only be achieved by investing exclusively in activities aligned to the transition to a carbon-neutral, low-resource, nature-inclusive economy. Therefore, the Council recommends that the government base the Growth Fund's investments on the existing goals for making the economy more sustainable. The advisory report was presented on 14 October 2021 to the Ministers of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, Infrastructure and Water Management Interior and Kingdom Relations, Economic Affairs and Finance.
